I recently completed my 3 years BA in economics from NUS and ready for me to embark into new journey of working life.

Most people at this point of time would ask, why Gerald did Economics while he has such a great passion for the creative profession?

My answer: There's isn't any degree course available on the creative field in Singapore during my time and Economics just seems a logical choice if I want to punge large amount of dollars for qualification. Partly, it was also to fulfil parent's expectation.

Now, free to do anything I want, I would pursue my first job in the advertising line and aims to be an established art director one day and win some awards like cannes. Working in the banks is just not for me.

I believe that my past years of freelancing as a graphic designer has been benefitial in the sense that it develop my visual capabilities tremendously. There are valuable insights that I acquired from doing marketing and advertising module for my coursework and these knowlege no doubt, is my foundation of power to create artwork that can help my client sell their product and effectively get their message across to desired consumers.

So wish me luck to get my dreamjob and while you are hanging around here, please take a look at my portfolio to see what have I done in the past. If you need any services for posters, namecards, layout design, you'll know how to reach me in my contact page.

warmly Gerald Tao
